I've never been much of a fisherman. Don't care for it all that much, but the boys are all in to it. Adam shocks me because he'll sit there for an hour without moving waiting to catch a fish. Jake on the other hand likes the idea of it, but after 20 minutes or so he's ready to do something else.
The sad thing is Jake's already caught 2 fish in the 2 times we've gone and Adam hasn't caught anything. Jake caught a bass on his very first cast within 15 seconds. Adam nothing. The second time around Jake catches a bream (brim?) on his 2nd cast. Adam nothing. Adam is not very happy about it either. he didn't stop fishing but put his head down and was griping about it.

Yes, Matt, it is BRIM. lol. I used to go fishing a lot with my Dad. I enjoy it, unless it's 100 degrees and the mosqitos are seeing more action from the fish than we are.
Poor Adam. You take that baby fishing again until he catches something!
The problem is you have no guide. Fishing there at Lamon Lake requires a trained guide....who has a bucket of catfish food!
Adam will be fine! Sounds like he has what it takes; desire, patience, and longevity.
Some folks get it, others dont.
